Abstract
Educate Together is the co-ordinating committee for multi-denominational national schools in Ireland. We believe that the option of multidenominational education should be available for all who seek it. We define multi-denominational schools as schools where all children have equal right of access and children of all religious, cultural and social backgrounds are equally respected. There are at present, ten national schools in the Educate Together sector catering for over 2,000 pupils and employing 70 teachers. Several other groups throughout the country wish to open such schools.
