Abstract
This note offers a new explanation for the inclusion of the reference to the Dioscuri at Acts 28:11. It suggests that the reason for this inclusion is narratological rather than theological, to explain why the centurion in charge of Paul decided to board a ship at such an early date given the disastrous result of his previous decision to continue sailing during a period of heightened risk.
