Abstract
This research was coproduced by the School of Education, University College Cork (UCC), the Traveller Visibility Group Cork (TVG) and the Southern Traveller Health Network (STHN).
This report examines the experiences of Traveller young people and the challenges they face in post-primary schools due to racialised inequalities. It is informed by the accounts of Traveller young people, Traveller Mentors and teachers. Central issues explored include: Segregating practices; Difficult transition from primary to post-primary school; everyday microaggressions and policing of traveller bodies; negative emotional experiences at school.
